As stated, yes you can, but here's another idea from a big cheese lover:

 

On our cruise on Anthem last year, we found an amazing cheese spread in Windjammer at dinnertime. I recommend breezing through there when they open to check out what's available. You can make your own customized cheese plate (more of your personal favorites) to enjoy with a drink, perhaps even in your own cabin while you get ready for dinner.

I think the cheese platter usually shows up on the dessert menu, but it's no big deal to order it as an appetizer.
