Are photo prices negotiatable? Any tips or experiences? Thanks

Yes they are negotiable.

 

The more you will buy, the better the negotiating may go. Of course, you have got to be willing to walk away. 

 

If you are observant you will see if they are selling many photos during your cruise, you can use this information to your benefit.

If they are experiencing great selling during your cruise, they maybe willing to bargain for yours as they don’t “have” to meet their quota for the cruise. 

 

Also, the opposite. If they have no sales, they “need” any sale.

Sounds like you are saying they will negotiate no matter what. lol

Yes, they are negotiating on all cruises.  One Issue are they negotiating early in the cruise or later.  They need to move photos and other products. Almost all of these products have a sliding scale of prices.

I had no idea, and I've been buying photos for 15 cruises.  Learn something new every day!

They did NO negotiating on the Dec 8 Royal Princess cruise.  They were set on $25.00 per picture unless you bough 5 then they were $115.00 total with a photo album.

Ask about buying the copyright to a photo you like to have it given to you on a USB stick. It is inexpensive and if there are others you like with you in them personally they will give you digital files.

 

I am one who never buys, but just last year on Diamond Princess I had a good photo taken at a Captains Circle event with a few people I kept meeting from past cruises and bought it straight to USB and they told me the above.
