Best Beaches Dominica

We will be in Dominica in April on the Crown Princess. What are the best beaches and cost for taxi for the day!

Not exactly answering your question, but Dominica is virtually the last destination for beaches in the Caribbean.  Known more for rainforest and volcanism.

Dominica is Nature Island. Think jungle and rain forest. Waterfalls!

Beaches??  LOL!

Beaches are Antigua or Barbados -not Dominica.

Sorry, but have to disagree. Dominica does have great beaches.

 

Best beaches are found to the far north of the island, the taxi cost was about $100.00 each way, plus tip, with a time just over the hour.  But allow 1.5 hours plus for the return because of possible traffic delays.

 

Mero Beach is a good choice at $25.00 per cab each way, plus tip, and only 25 minutes from the port.  Plenty of cabs for the return, and your outward driver will be happy to collect for the return at an agreed time.  They usually arrive early to put the guests' minds at rest.
