Snorkeling near pier

There are 3 cruise ship piers on Cozumel, so we would need to know ship and date to narrow down your location.

Best option for snorkeling without a tour is probably Money Bar beach club.  Taxi for up to 4 passengers will be about $12 each way.  No admission fee, good facilities, good food, drinks and service. No real beach - you enter the water via steps. Rental gear available if you do not want to bring your own fins, etc.

Is there any place within walking distance that you can snorkel from the beach? We have our own gear. Thanks.

From Puerta Maya or International you can walk to El Cid, Sunset Beach or Turquoise Beach Bar, or  Blue Angel to snorkel. From Punta  Langosta - No Name bar, Jeanie’s or Hotel Cozumel.

It is expected that you purchase food and/or drink to use their facilities, like Money Bar, and the hotels may require a day pass. I haven’t personally snorkeled at any of these locations only used the facilities and seen others, so cannot attest to quality. Obviously they are all on ironstone so no natural sandy beaches.
