Arriving into Sydney this morning

Sydney was covered by fog early this morning but it cleared just in time. I lived in Sydney for a while years ago and never sailed / cruised in through the Heads. It was fabulous, everyone loved it.

Thank you, I will try to complete a review next week.

You were so lucky to experience this in daylight. When I’ve cruised in its been at 5am and completely dark!

I love coming through the heads just as dawn starts to break, seeing all the lights come on, as you pass the various towns Arriving at the OPT just as the ferries really start to work, and the city comes to life

Yeah, not even that for us. We did see that in Melbourne but well, you know, it ain’t Sydney!  Shame it isn’t berthed at OPT but the other harbour.

Apparenty Sunrise is going to be on Orion on Monday morning.

I just need Orion to scoot across the Pacific to be in Alaska for when we board her. Paid for our May trip just yesterday.

OPT v White Bay...

(never cruised to or from WB, but did a few times from Hickson Road).

OPT is beautiful and right in the city.

White Bay, sailing under the Coathanger is something to be experienced.

Sure. Sailing under the bridge is good. But you can get the same experience on a harbour cruise. Being berthed at OPT is waaaay better. You can just stay onboard and people watch. Get off quickly to the main sights. And so on.

No sailing under on a ship is way more spectacular than on a ferry, watching faces trying to work out if you’ll fit.

But I do love the OPT for location
