Rare vadersprincess12 Posted January 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2019 Hello Everyone ~ will be sailing the Coral Princess and have a few questions. 1. Are the coffee drinks at the International included in the cruise fare? 2. Is there a charge to use the Sanctuary adult area? 3. Do they have trivia? Thanks to everyone. We were just on the Coral and the charge is like other Sanctuary’s on other ships we’ve been on... $40/pp/day full day $20/pp/day 1/2 day think it’s $30/pp/day if booked the whole week. The Serenity Steward Santi was very easy to work with.
Rare TracieABD Posted January 17, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2019 If you like espresso-based drinks, and you think you will drink around 15 in the course of your cruise- it is worth it to buy a coffee card. As memory serves best, the Sanctuary on the Coral is really unique. It is at the aft of the ship, is two stories, and has its own pool (which felt a little like swimming in a tin can). Trivia... so much trivia. Sometimes 4 or more times a day!

Really three of you count the pool as one level and then two Sanctuary levels. I think that we were told the pool itself can be used by anyone (not kids) but seldom was it busy. The noise from the pool can carry up to the Sanctuary area and it tends to echo and if a bit of a crowd can get a little loud and annoying. We really did enjoy the Coral and would sail her again in the future. This is a pic of the upper level of Sanctuary. Cabanas were same price per day as loungers. Tyskie Posted January 17, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2019 You didn't mention your itinerary but if it's Alaska - the Sanctuary is a great place to view Glacier Bay. Great viewing, fee $65pp for Glacial Bay day (only) - be prepared to be spoiled.
jondfk Posted January 17, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2019 I can only add that the sanctuary on Coral is quite small (compared to the Grand / Royal class ships). I books up fast so, if this is a priority, get back there first thing. My understanding was the pool is Sanctuary only which isn't to say there was any real enforcement, usage was low for the most part.
STREETKING Posted January 17, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2019 We love the Coral's sanctuary, very private and great wake views. I wish all the ships sanctuaries were located at the rear of the ship like Coral's. When we did the 10 day Panama in 2016 there was hardly anyone else there but that of course changes for each cruise. I would still head up there directly after boarding to assure your spot.
