Adjoining staterooms

I have a question about adjoining staterooms.  Can you hear noises from the next door neighbors?  Thanks for any info!

On our recent Marina cruise, we could hear the TV from the next door (but not adjoining) cabin.

On the R ships you can hear every word from an adjoining small cabin to the Vista Suites.

On recent Regatta cruise, could not hear much at all from cabins next door (but not adjoining - ie no connecting door in middle).

I think a lot has to do with your neighbours

some cabins (not connecting ) you can hear  people talking or the TV  & then there is  the search each morning  where they open every drawer in the cabin  & bang  them shut  before they slam the door on their way out

Then there are the other type people  you  rarely know they are  in the cabin

We have stayed in rooms adjoining doors never heard a thing. In fact we have the same room on board Sirina for our Christmas cruise.

 

Main thing is some people not closing the stateroom door ............just allowing it slam to, most annoying.
