Like you, we prepay everything we can pay. Prepay parking? Guess I need to check on that option for NOLA.
evandbob Posted February 15, 2019 #28 Share Posted February 15, 2019 I would first buy as many Discounted Gift Cards through AARP or wherever after figuring out my budget. If the total comes to $4 thou, the 10% off on the gift cards will save $400. Then I would use the gift cards to pre-pay the cruise costs.

In Tampa and maybe a few other ports you can pre-pay parking at the cruise terminal. In MIA and FLL you cannot, unless you use an off site lot. If you are using an off site parking, you should be able to prepay in NOLA. If you are parking at the port, I don't think you can.

Roz Book a refundable with your credit card, Set cash aside to cover the cost. Pay the bill with the cash or deposit the cash just before you go and pay with your debit card. My credit union also offers "travel money" ( the modern replacement for travelers checques) which is a prepaid debit card that has visa logo and works just like their regular debit card. You put as much money as you want on it and use that to pay for hotel and incidental that you can't prepay. After your trip, any balance on it can be used for anything you would normally pay with debit card.
