Prepay parking?  Guess I need to check on that option for NOLA.

In Tampa and maybe a few other ports you can pre-pay parking at the cruise terminal.  In MIA and FLL you cannot, unless you use an off site lot.

The problem with pre-paying hotel rooms is that most of the time it's non-refundable.

Book a refundable with your credit card, Set cash aside to cover the  cost. Pay the bill with the cash or deposit the cash just before you go and pay with your debit card. My credit union also offers "travel money" ( the modern replacement for travelers checques) which is a prepaid debit card that has visa logo and works just like their regular debit card. You put as much money as you want on it and use that to pay for hotel and incidental that you can't prepay. After your trip, any balance on it can be used for anything you would normally pay with debit card.
