Rare Kmkub Posted January 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I posted a thread on the MSC forum about them having found cocaine on the Divina. A member replied, "My friend just back from NCL cruise ,they had policeman and a dog going around the ship 24/7 sniffing pas for drugs ." This is creepy. Is this really happening? kfnesq Posted January 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Well, I've never seen that on our cruises but maybe it was a charter....?
Rare Oceansaway17 Posted January 30, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I have only seen the sniffing dogs on the dock area. If they are on the ship, then there must be a suspicion of some kind based on Passenger list, some kind or tip, or one of the crew was seen doing something. SeaTheW0rld Posted January 30, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) We had them on EPIC, yesterday. Saw them at the h20 zone. Not sure if they did the whole ship. I thought it unwise to follow them around. Edited January 30, 2019 by SeaTheW0rld Ac
kfnesq Posted January 30, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Hm. Well, doesn't bother me if it's a new thing. I live with a working drug dog. Nothing creepy about him lol. 🙂

We'll find out on Friday - off to the Caribbean on the Jade!!

don24 Posted January 30, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I would love to see this. a uniformed officer and a four legged officer would keep the peace. I don't care at all about the drugs but the obnoxious passengers that sometimes appear later in the evening. I'm packing treats . 3
david_sobe Posted January 30, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Dogs are at all ports of entry. You see them at airports and sea ports. Nothing unusual. Sometimes its just routine patrols and nothing to get excited about.

Sauer-kraut Posted January 30, 2019 #18 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Drug sniffing dogs are often on the ships, especially when there is cause for suspicion. Its not uncommon at all. Leave your non-legal drugs at home.
