NCL Spa Access question

Wondering how the spa access works in regard to us having access that comes along with the Spa Mini Suite room.  We are going with another couple and wondering if one person from the other couple would be able to use the spa in my place.  Do they check pictures during checkin?  Do you just scan in or do you checkin with a person at the spa?

the way the shipcard works is based on the photo taken of you at checkin

whatever extras loaded on eg UBP or thermal spa pass the staff can see the photo on their terminals to match it up

works also as a reassurance if you lose your card-wont allow someone who picked it up to access your privileges

The way it works is that they take your card, put it in a bin, and let you in the door. They don't check in the computer or anything else. The thing to remember is that when you leave to use the name that is on the card, and teh card color because you have to ask to get it back. While you are in the spa the person whose name is on the card doesn't have charging privileges anf can't leave the ship.

Do I recommend doing what OP suggests? No, but it can easily be done.

But how the is the checkin process of how they monitor?

Why does it matter how they monitor it? You have already been told that is is not allowed to let someone else use your card.

As someone mentioned, they take each persons card and hold it while you are in the spa.  They can look it up on their computer for your picture, but they don’t all the time.  Also, if you were trying to scam the system with a card for a male with a female entering, it could lead them to look for the picture.  Honestly, I would not try it.  If your friend wants to go, just have them buy the spa pass.

Just don't do it.

While cards are not checked in a computer, Spa personnel make money by building relationships with their clients and selling products. A good front desk person will associate you with a name on your card after a day or two. If they detect something amiss, they will check and revoke your privileges (for being a cheat).  Your "friend" can buy a spa pass for themselves.
