Hello All.

Can someone please answer a question for me, we are going on a cruise with Princess cruises flying out to Seattle spending two nights in a hotel then sailing up round Alaska, on the way back the ship visits Victoria in Canada the question is whether we need a visa for that visit, I know that we need an ESTA for America any information would be gratefully appreciated.

Sorry paul929207 should have mentioned we have British passports and flying into Seattle before the cruise so will already have Estas for the States.

Mick, this Canadian web site says that you don’t, but it’s the product of a quick search, so you should confirm that it’s up to date. (Why not call your nearest Canadian consulate?)  You’re all part of the same Commonwealth ....

if you are  entering Canada  by land or sea  no eTA  required

if you are Flying to Canada  then  you do need one
