Transfer from Galveston to Hobby???

We have transfers booked through the ship. We were just wondering if it would be faster to carry our luggage off and just to book a private company to pick us up to take us to Hobby? Also how would we know what time to have them pick us up and will they wait if there are delays in us getting off? Last question is there a different area where they pick you up at after departing the ship? Thanks

Are you worried about making your flight?  I personally like Carnival transfers but if you can find a company that is cheaper, they will be very speedy in getting you to the airport early, if that is your objective.  I have used Galveston limo shuttle to IAH and they did do a stop at Hobby before heading off to IAH.  I believe they are cheaper than Carnival.  There are lots of options.  HTH!

We have never cruised out of Galveston and I thought I had done my homework. The LIberty is arriving at 6:30am and there was a direct flight home at 12:30 so I called Royal to ask them if it would be to early of a flight and they said it was find so I booked it. Then I started reading about fog and now I'm wondering if I have to stress through this trip. That's why I was wondering if I should cancel ship transfers and walk off the ship and book other transportation that might be faster? We have never used anything except ship trans so I'm not knowledge about the other transport and how they work since we don't know what time we can get off.

When is your cruise? Fog can happen, but not all the time by any stretch, and just December to March. Go with the ship transfer if you are comfortable doing that. Don't worry about the fog.

We come back into port March 31. I think while I'm on ship I will go to the service deck and let them know our flight time and ask if we can be on the first transfer back. We have always cruised out of Florida so this is a totally different experience lol. We are flying in a day early 🙂Thank you
