Rare trbarton Posted February 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2019 (edited) I’m new to the Majestic Princess. Any tips for this ship? Did you have any favorite restaurants that you liked? Any special areas that you liked? Where did you go to watch Sail Away? Tom😀 Edited February 13, 2019 by trbarton

Rare gottagocit Posted February 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2019 We sailed on her just after launching and she quickly became our favorite. So much roomier with all the open spaces for people to gather without feeling as crowded as many do. We are in Australia now for a NZ voyage on her beginning March 2nd. The horizon court buffet I almost too big, if there’s such a thing. Far more choices than on older generations of ships. Led enjoy the relative quiet (sometimes) Alfredo’s for lunch. Not a large menu but simpler than mdr and no additional charge with tasty pizzas and the few pasta dishes. Also like the much larger sitting area around the international cafe where we enjoy a light snack and too many specialty coffees. You will I’ll love her, Chris
Adventures ahead Posted March 26, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2019 We will be on cruises RT Sydney to NZ and Tasmania and usually do Anytime dining. What are the current dining times on the Majestic, in Anytime and Traditional dining?
MargoK Posted March 27, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2019 Sailaway - Wake View Bar Favourite Restaurants - a must do is La Mer and Harmony. Harmony is good with more than 4, so you can share dishes. Alfredos is great for a light lunch or dinner (lunch on sea days can be busy) or a late dessert! Vines - for pre-dinner drinks and tapas Crooners - after dinner drinks, pre or post show.
turquoisesea Posted March 27, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 27, 2019 The International Cafe is very big and easy to get lost in. One of the crew suggested we note what color side we are sitting in - beige (light) or brown (dark). That helped a bit. Did notice different selections found on different sides. This was back when the ship was on her 4th cruise so things may have changed.
