Car Service or Taxi from Barcelona Hotel to Airport

I have to catch a 7:15am flight on Monday 5/13/19 from the Renaissance Barcelona hotel to the airport.  Would It be cheaper to take a cab or hire a car service?  It is just me with one piece of luggage.  If it is a car service are their any recommendations?

Taxi worked fine, even on a Sunday at 4 am.  There was a taxi stand right down the street from the hotel.  Backup plan was that the hotel could call a taxi.

That is what I was thinking as well.  It will be a Monday morning but I need to get the taxi around 5am so I was hoping there would be some available.  I don't think that I am far from the airport and at that time of the morning there should be no traffic.

Taxi would not be a problem.  Just ask your hotel's concierge (or front desk) to have a taxi at 5am.  Plenty of taxis in Barcelona and it will be fine.

We taxied early and it was no problem even though we were renting an apartment in town.  Walked to the street corner and had a cab in a minute or two. Lots of cabs around.  Should be even easier from your hotel.

We were in Barcelona in March and used WelcomePickUp, it was a bit more than a taxi but nice to have someone waiting after a long flight.  We will use them again in May for our cruise.  We are a family of 5 so being able to guarantee we can all stay together with all our stuff is worth the extra few euros.
