What to do in LeHavre near the cruise port

We are in Le Havre until 10:00pm.  However, our car rental needs to be turned in by 6:00pm.  Is there anything walking distance to the port that is worth seeing, or do we just get back on the ship?

we had a shuttle from the ship to city centre

There were shops restaurants & the art gallery   but it will depend on opening hours  & your interests
