Over ten yrs. ago now, back in September 2008

I spotted the ex-Carnival Celebration docked at Barcelona

with her distinctive whale tail.

At that time, she was re-named GRAND CELEBRATION,

sailing for Ibero Cruises a Spanish outfit

Now she's mostly spotted hanging around in Freeport.

Holiday was my family's first Carnival cruise in 1992.  My kids were 8 & 10, the maitre'd came to the table & cut up our youngest son's food for us. No S&S card & had the plastic keys with holes in it. Completely different cruise experience. Sailed the Celebration 3 times over the years. They are antique now but filled with great memories.

The cruise that started my addiction was on the Holiday when she was brand new back in 1985.At the time that she was launched she was the 3rd largest cruise ship in the world. only the Norway and QE2 were bigger. how times have changed!!! :classic_biggrin:
