New OV cabins added on Millennium

A chief housekeeper on another ship.  Until someone actually spends sometime in the new cabins we won't know for sure.

Thanks, Arno, for coming back and telling us. I'm not sure how the chief housekeeper on another ship would know that. I'm hoping it's just a rumor and not fact. We will probably stick with 3119 unless something better comes back in the inventory. I'm hoping that it does, or that someone on a current cruise will report back to us. (But I'm not holding my breath for either of those!)

Our booking of 3125 on a B2B cruise shows 170 sq ft and a sofa bed for a third person... I hope that the housekeeper is wrong, I hope that the diagram is wrong.  I love the big window!

Did you end up sailing in 3119 yet.  I am debating between this cabin and 3127.  I understand that their is a door right by 3127 (although not the main entrance) to the Tuscan that might create a lot of noise?  I have an opportunity to move to 3119 but would appreciate some feedback before I switch.

Yes, we did sail in 3119 (I did a mini-review when we returned in May) It was very quiet and private, tucked behind a door in a little corridor not too far from the elevator. 3127 is at the end of that corridor and is indeed right by a crew door (though I didn't think it led to Tuscan, I thought it was just a service area) If it were me, I would definitely switch to 3119.

I would move to 3119.  I scoped out these staterooms on Millennium, and 3115/17/19 are the most private, i.e. no traffic.  The entrance (open area) to the area is at 3121.  There is a door across from 3115 that you could go thru, but it always stayed shut every time I was in the area. 

 

I went in and out of the door across from 3127.  It is a service area for the Tuscan Grill and I've transited a couple of times.  🍷

I did not know that door led to Tuscan Grill, but then I'm not in the habit of entering areas that say "Crew Only"... Why did you transit there? Shortcut to Elite breakfast in Tuscan?

I meant to do this a couple of weeks ago and then it disappeared .... but back on the inventory again .... so made the move to 3119.  Thanks so much!!

The windows in the new cabins are the extra big ones same as the other side of the ship. There was no large structural changes to the ship, like window size. 🙂

Yes, the new cabins on the port side of deck 3 are exactly the same size, and have the same huge window, as the ones on the starboard side.

So, I got a call from Celebrity as they wait listed me to room 3112 ... and guess what, it came up as available for my sailing.  So, I made the switch.  I'm really rather surprised they called me about it ... and I think they called twice as I hadn't been home the first time they called.  Great customer service and now I have the room I really wanted from the get go.   I would have been perfectly happy with 3119, I'm sure ... but, I've always wanted to lay my head down in in the ever so popular 3112.

That door did not say "Crew Only" on the Summit .

It is at the end of a quiet hallway, right across form 3125 and 3127

 

3125 or 3127 would be an ideal location for anyone who does not want a balcony and likes to start the day at the Captain's Club breakfast in the Tuscan Grill.

Just open your door, step across the hallway and there you are.

 

Another advantage to those new cabins on the port side of the ship is that you don't get the hallway foot traffic like the cabins on the starboard side now do.

 

Since they re-located the entrance to Tuscan, people coming up or down on the central elevators now walk down  the hallway on the starboard side to get to Tuscan.

Previously they would just get off the elevators and walk only a few steps to reach the old entrance.

It's funny you mention that.  We were recently in a cabin with one of these private hallways on Princess.  The main thoroughfare was through the casino ... the smoking side at that. 

One lady would use our little private hallway and say she discovered the non-smoking tunnel to the theater.  hahaha!

I'm going to go on Millennium 3119. I'm curious to know if there is a fold out sofa or pull down bed from the wall in the room. We are traveling with a third passenger. I appreciate all the previous comments.

Deck plans show a square which means fold out sofa bed.
