Water taxi Airport to Hotel- Meet/Greet or on your own?

The hotel has offered to arrange a meet and greet at the baggage claim who will escort us to the water taxi for $255 E

I believe I can get in line at the airport and buy tickets for about 120E?

Is the Meet and Greet worth it?  It's a lot of difference $$$$

For those who have done it on their own....how did that go?

Thank you!  We are just two people

Several years ago, I surprised DH with a Meet & Greet, and then straight to the water taxi

But I found a well-rated service online, rather than going through the hotel.

I suspect they mostly use the same "service"/people for this.  The airport isn't that large, and there's only one direct route straight to the water taxi docks.  (I sometimes have difficulty walking.  Many people just walk to the water taxi area.)

It was a FUN way to arrive!

The walk from the airport to the dock takes 5-8 minutes.

The walk is well signed and there are carts available for your luggage.

Detailed instructions for the dock are contained within this link, and you can follow others heading in the same direction since the water taxis and Alilaguna depart from the same area.  But if you don't think you will find the dock, a Meet and Greet is a good option.

yes, they walk you to the dock.

Our Meet & Greet met us right after we got out of Arrivals with our luggage, and then took us by a very nice sedan to the water taxi.  It was more "round about" by car than if one walks, but we were concerned about my walking, not knowing exactly how short/long it was, OR how my foot would be after lengthy travel to Venice with a long connection, etc.

Also, "our" water taxi was at the very far end of the little dock area.  It probably would have been difficult for me, but it did feel a little silly when we realized how relatively close it was.

If you don't have any mobility problems, then yes, you could follow the others heading in the same direction.

(But I am glad that we did it the way we did.  Given the water taxi price, it wasn't that much extra for the transport assistance, but we were quoted rather a lower price, *not* through the hotel.)

no way I would pay extra 150 E for someone meet me. I am not an idiot and I can walk 5 min to taxi stop.
