PeterB123 Posted March 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2019 We are doing Cozumel, Belize and Honduras. Are there towels on board we can take to the beach excursions, or do I need to bring them?
OCruisers Posted March 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2019 Happily, you don't need to take beach towels! They are provided for your use at ports of call and at the pool . Once used, you'll get fresh clean ones.
Babyfin Posted March 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2019 But make sure you bring them back or they will charge you $20 a towel
Joebucks Posted March 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2019 The common objection you will hear to using Carnival's towels is some people find them too big and bulky. Doesn't bother me.

PortSideCruzan Posted March 9, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2019 Hi ☺️ If it's ok, I'd like to piggy back & ask a question within this post. My wife & I have been bouncing around Carnival, Royal & Princess since the early 80's. Our last Carnival voyage was in 2015 where the stateroom stewards replenished the beach towels each evening prior to a port. Our next voyage on Carnival we will be sailing Mardi Gras, a 15-night, port intensive, Journeys repositioning cruise. Do cabin stewards still replenish beach towels for the next days port in the evening, or are we responsible to replenish beach towels through a check out type of system at a towel hut on the ships pool deck? 🌴

We put our used ones on the bathroom floor indicating they are wet, when our room is serviced they are replaced. They also have a kiosk near the pool where you can give your folio and cabin # and you can get clean ones there, just remember to return them to the kiosk and make sure they mark your name as having returned them.
coevan Posted March 9, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2019 We love these as they take up very little space and dry very quickly. We find 2 Carnival towels take up an entire beach bag. https://www.amazon.com/Rainleaf-Microfiber-Perfect-Sports-Travel/dp/B01A4ZXX6S/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1KA27X03H1UDU&keywords=microfiber+beach+towel&qid=1552105562&s=gateway&sprefix=microfiber+bea%2Caps%2C567&sr=8-5 1

Vitamin Sea Addict Posted March 9, 2019 #10 Share Posted March 9, 2019 We're taking Dock and Bay microfiber towels this time because having to haul 4 Carnival towels is too much to carry around (since our kiddos can't carry as much and they're super heavy when wet). I know it's a personal preference thing but I'm really looking forward to the space it'll clear up in the backpacks when we're heading to beach things. We'll only be using them for excursions etc.
