Do we need a power strip? I stayed in a CF concierge family inside on the May 11-18 2019 cruise. It's a very nice suite, especially since I was traveling with my dad and a 16 year old boy. There are 3 tv's in the suite, one in each room. The movies that you would pay $9.95 each for are free in the concierge class so I watched several including A Star is Born and Mary Poppins. In the smaller room with the single bed, there is a Pullman bunk bed. And FYI, the bed in the master is not a king but two twins that make a queen. So that bed could be separated into two separated beds if needed. Our room steward Darwin was great, but I had some issues getting a hold of the concierge. arpie05 Posted May 30, 2019 #753 Share Posted May 30, 2019 Can you ask your Steward to open the the balcony between two cabins like you can on Carnival? We have two balconies beside each other and it would be awesome to have a huge balcony to stand all together.
Aslinkman Posted May 30, 2019 #754 Share Posted May 30, 2019 Yes. If you cannot do it yourself all you need to do it ask your room steward or contact guest services.

It's even stated in the dailies. BALCONIES SAFETY PARTITIONS: As per Safety requirement, requests for partitions of adjacent balconies to be opened are not allowed. You might find a steward who will do it with the expectation of a tip but it isn't supposed to be done. Even if a steward does take the tip on day 1 and the divider is opened, it might be closed on day 2.

Priority disembarkation?? Breakfast and lunch in a private restaurant? Free laundry? Free dinners? Thanks for any info We just cruised this week. We got priority embarkation and disembarkation. We could walk right off the ship anytime between 8-9am. It was a breeze. We got private breakfast and lunch each day in La Cucina and it was sit down great service, no lines. Watch your Daily newsletter though for times they serve breakfast. It varies by port and we missed it one day as it closed earlier than the day before. No free laundry service. All dinners for us were in the normal complimentary dining areas but you can buy a dinner package or reserve one of the pay restaurants ahead. We never found our concierge guy but were told on Friday he was available in the La Cucina each morning during breakfast. (That was not explained anywhere). The concierge family suite was awesome. The master bedroom alone was More spacious than most hotel rooms. We didn't miss having a balcony at all. The virtual balcony window was live feed off the side of the ship and most people with balconies said it was pretty cold out there even though we had one of the best weather weeks so far since they started the Alaska itinerary in May. There were plenty of places to go watch the scenery that were protected from the wind. Most outdoor public spaces on decks had plexiglass shields and some had ceiling heaters running. We would definitely go Concierge again just for the priority disembarkation and the private breakfast and lunch dining space. (Although the menu never changed each day but we had the best steaks of the trip in the La Cucina hands down.)

Do we need a power strip? We just returned from our cruise in the concierge family suite 12529. There were three tvs. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. In the master suite, there was only one electrical outlet over the desk area. There was one USB port in each lamp base on the nightstands on either sides of the bed. I have a CPAP machine and luckily brought a long extension cord as that was the only outlet in the room. There was no outlet inside the bathroom. Min the bunk bed room they had a few extra electrical outlets and USB ports. None in the bathroom. I did not pay attention to outlets in the living room. I would advise bringing a power strip or extension cord for the master bedroom.

I believe there may also be an area somewhere near the big hot tub in Spice H2O because my son mentioned it smelled like smoke while he and his brother were in that hot tub one evening. Snagler Posted June 3, 2019 #765 Share Posted June 3, 2019 Here is a picture of the second bedroom in a Concierge Family suite. The top bunk is hidden in the ceiling until the room steward lowers it for you. My 5ft 10 inch 24 yr old sons shared this room and were perfectly comfortable in the bunks. The room steward put the bunk back into the ceiling the second day when making up the room. If you don't want it put back up each day you have to tell them or it gets locked back into the ceiling. We had to ask to leave it down at all times so it could be relaxed on anytime throughout the day.

I assume this will be the same on Encore. The 90 minute purchase had limits on people in the pavilion at one time. While this increases the fee for NCL, could this place just turn into a mob scene with long lines for each game? IMHO, booking groups into the Pavillion at different times made sense. But maybe they are not experiencing a huge demand for this place and can get away with an open forum.

I know it's been quite some time now since this cruise, but I'm curious - it looks like there could possibly be enough room to request a second twin be brought in and configured next to the first twin to create a queen. I wonder if you heard about this being an option.
