Mammafontz Posted March 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2019 We just surprised my parents with a family cruise to celebrate their 50th wedding. There will be 14 people total. We called Celebrity and it would cost $3,000 to do a vow renewal, which is outrageous. We already spent more than expected on the cruise. My husband is an officiant, so we really don’t need anything from the cruise line. Is there somewhere on the ship we could do something ourselves? Would the ship be ok with that? Luvcrusn Posted March 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2019 I'd suggest calling Captains Club and see if you can have a small area (like Cellarmasters) where you can hold something.
Orator Posted March 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2019 The Events Coordinator is responsible for any events that are scheduled to take place during your cruise. You may have to settle for a non public venue such as a Conference room if you don't pay a fee. Congratulations and have a memorable event. Mammafontz Posted March 27, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted March 27, 2019 Thank you. We are fine with holding something private. It’s just been a long time since we’ve all been together and figured this would be the best opportunity.
Rare OceanCruise Posted March 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2019 Some ships have a private Chef's Table where you pay extra for a special dinner in a private room. That might be an option for the ceremony and celebration dinner.
