CruisingLover Posted April 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) Hi We will be in Miami for 2 days before our cruise leaves June 23 of this year. There are 7 of us, all adults but not into the bar scene. We've done the segway thing before so are looking for something to do. Is the Miami zoo decent? Is there any putt-putt nearby? Any recommendations for anything to do? Oh, also, any recommendations for good places to eat? Thanks! JohninDC Posted April 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2019 Where are you staying? hop on/off bus tours are a good way to see Miami and Miami Beach.
BlueHerons Posted April 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2019 I can't think of any putt putt in Miami anywhere. I would imagine you'd have to head out to the burbs. What about Top Golf? It is a lot of fun. I like Vizcaya. Also, walking tours of the Historic Deco District or the HOHO bus. Where are you staying? Miami is a big place. Cuban is always good food and Havana 1957 has locations all over.
BNBR Posted April 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2019 The only Havana 1957 not on South Beach is in Pembroke Pines. FYI. But yeah, if you want Cuban, there are plenty of places in Little Havana which is worth checking out. Zoo Miami is a great zoo, but nothing spectacular. It's fun to go and rent the Safari Cycles to get around. Not sure that would be my choice if visiting Miami for a day or two, though. Maybe an Everglades tour, John recommended the HoHo bus which is great. If you are more specific about the area you are staying or wanting to hang out, I'm sure a lot more restaurant suggestions would come your way. Miami is loaded with amazing restaurants, so it's hard to just throw out random suggestions.
CruisingLover Posted April 10, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted April 10, 2019 Sorry, we are staying at the Hilton Miami Downtown. We will have a rental car so not opposed to driving too far.
JohninDC Posted April 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2019 You might consider skipping the car rental. Your hotel will bill you $25+ per day for parking, and Uber/Lyft are easy and cheap.

richbum Posted April 11, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2019 My group is looking into the double decker bus with a millionaires row boat tour after. It is around $30 per person if I remember right...Then dinner and a walk around Bayside.
