General Comments Originally bid on 10/3/2022. Checked availability daily and most suites were sold out except for Iconic and a couple of Sky Suites. Aqua was sold out almost the entire time. I bid 1885pp for Sky, and 500pp for Aqua. Sky suites seemed to sell and then others got cancelled so some availability was available most (but not all) days. On 11/7 around 10PM I noticed MoveUp showed Sky pending all my Aqua expired, and no changes allowed. 11/8 around 10AM the email was received informing me of the upgrade clearing. There are now no Sky Suites available, but one Aqua is available (I guess the other Sky Suite got awarded to an Aqua that got moved up. My previously assigned Porthole room is already available for sale. Minimum bid for Sky Suite was $1000 and maximum was $2500.

We had booked during COVID when the price started to drop as cruise lines started to reopen. We bid to move up to AQ, due to the original price being so low, and figured we would low ball the AQ bid,  if we didn't get it, no worries. We would still have had a good time. To our surprise it was accepted, but the ship was very low occupancy.

We have a room of 3 people total (2 + 1 child) and have a mid-tier OV on the 3rd deck. We put in multiple bids with the lowest available + a bit more for the verandas, and something we were told by our TA would at least put us in the running for the suite. The fact that the suite is still pending is good news (3 rooms available for parties of 3-4 on the ship) I'm hoping while the others are all expired/rejected.

We got a Royal Suite for $1,500pp. I am so excited! I couldn't keep it a secret and spilled the beans to my husband.

 

A few weeks after the post above, there were no longer any RS showing available and I felt bad hoping someone would have to cancel for me to get a MoveUp. After another few weeks, a different one became available. It's that one that we got. We originally had one of the PS adjoining S1s, 6146. I imagine some lucky person will MoveUp into that soon. It's showing as available right now.

 

All told, our final price was $5k less than what the suite was selling for yesterday.
