You are on the same cruise as us…I was also successful but with a Celebrity Suite, I was surprised it was done so early but I think with the amount of vacant sky suites they chose to do the process now to free up some of the cheaper cabins and hope they sell, the suites are all a ridiculous price now..we got a great deal when we booked in 2021 because the world was coming out of Covid so prices were good.

I created bids for the February 18 Ascent on several different kinds of sky suites (starting at 795pp) and there was also an offer for celebrity suites. I didn’t bid on them because they were more than I really wanted to spend (min 1145 pp). But I saw there are still quite a few open so I decided to bid. But now that option is gone. Why would they remove the offer when there are still numerous celebrity suites open? (More than sky suites) Anyone know? I thought that was odd.

We put in a bid for a celebrity suite and a royal suite, once we were successful with the celebrity suite the royal suite offer showed as expired…are your bids still showing for sky suites?

Yes. They are all still pending. That’s why I thought it was weird the option just disappeared.

I just got notified this week for ascent of January 14.  It may be a month before you know anything.

I assumed so. That’s also why I thought it was weird the celebrity suites disappeared when there are so many left. Unless people in sky suites upgraded and the website just isn’t showing that. I’m not sure. I’ve never used this system before.

That’s so weird. I wrote to the company that I guess handles the move up program and asked them why I can no longer bid. There are quite a few celebrity suites left but very few sky suites that I can see. I was also able to bid on a sunset sky suite and I see none of those available at all. Thanks for letting me know. Unless a bid of mine was accepted? But then I don’t think they would all still say pending.

I think that what consumers see is not exactly the available inventory, but what Celebrity would still like to sell.

Originally bidding $370 for Aqua room in November and waited but when I went back to check the status of that bid yesterday I noticed that AS was available for “ 50% off original bid price” so put in just above minimum on the toggle. Maximum bid was $5600 so ours was right at the bottom of weak.  Credit card charged within hours of bid and notification email a few hours later. Never had a suite before so very excited. Knowledge gained from other posters on this thread have been invaluable - so I thought I’d continue the good cycle!

Traveling with 3 other cabins in Aqua, so didn't bother with SS bid. There were 8 (of 10) unassigned AS cabins at the time of bidding so we thought we had a decent shot. No CS or RS showing available so we figured those were long shots. By about a week prior to sailing, cruise appeared fully booked. I wonder if others who bid higher were successful. Oooh. You are on my sailing. I briefly bid on the celebrity suite at the minimum for me which I think was like 1,175, but I ultimately couldn't justify the price for the trip, so I cancelled. But it looked like there were quite a few celebrity suites left. I have kept my bids on the sky suites because they were less, as well as an aqua class. (I'm in a normal infinite veranda now.) But I don't have a lot of hope since those seem pretty booked up! That was a strong bid. Did you find out right away?

I think we put our bids in on 12/18. Got confirmation today. We got a really good deal on our original booking so overall we're happy with it. The bid we put in was right in the middle of the range offered. I'm curious if anyone else has received confirmation for this sailing.

It seems like you found out early? When I looked at the celebrity suites the other day there were thirteen of them, and now there are only two. But now a sunset sky suite and regular sky suite and magic carpet sky suite opened up.

A game of dominoes.  I've seen higher level suites fill first, then they seem to work down, but that's based on a few people reporting MoveUps and quick looks at inventory.

We recently received a move up offer for the Equinox where the minimum bid for a sunset sky suite was substantially lower than a regular sky suite (415 versus 1540).  Could this be real or just a clerical data entry error?  I assume there is no harm in trying for the sunset sky suite, or am I missing something?  This whole move up process is new to me.
