NCL air - Miami to Barcelona

Hi - could use some help to make our decision. We just booked the Epic out of Barcelona for next May. It's way too early to buy a flight, but in trying to determine the approximate cost, it seems like it could cost $3,000 for 3 of us to fly from Miami to Barcelona on a Friday or even Saturday (cruise departs on Sunday, May 3, 2020). The reduced air offer from NCL would currently put us at around $1,800. Does anyone have experience flying from Miami to Barcelona using NCL's air? What kind of flights may we be looking at? I'm scared of a 20-hour trip with two or more stops if we book the air and hotel thru NCL. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

If the air tickets are purchased through NCL and they are in control of your flights and routing, you take what they give you.

Past experiences have little to no relevance for what the current air contracts are that NCL would be operating under.  So just because someone else got the AA non-stop from MIA to BCN doesn't mean you will get that as well.  Or won't.  You are rolling the dice.

Next question...just what are you "scared" of?  Seriously asked.  If there is some significant reason, then that should argue against the NCL promotion.  If it's just that you want a fast non-stop, then you have to weigh that benefit vs the cost savings.

Above all, you have to be brutally honest with yourself as to what your priorities and values are.  Then you, and only you, can make an informed decision.

You mention it’s too early to book directly so hopefully you can keep the option to book through Norwegian open until you can confirm a real price.  I would like to suggest you consider TAP Portuguese Airline.  They have a nonstop from Miami to Lisbon and a number of flights from Lisbon to Barcelona. We have found that the costs of their flights is in line with some of the discount carriers while their flight experience is much improved. If you can swing business class, they often offer it at about the cost of premium economy on other airlines.  Lastly, if you have the time, you can even have a “free” stopover in Lisbon or Porto for up to five days.

Just did a "dummy" booking April 2020 May 2020 MIA to BCN Nonstop American, BCN - MIA nonstop American, both flights premium econ for 3 people, total price $2964. Main econ $2067 for 3 people.
