Anyone visited this island since its refurbishment?

I looked at one you tube review and see that hot wings are $8.00.

Are they now charging for the food?

Can you now use your drink package on the island?

I did notice much longer hours for the serving of the food.

I thought they were still gonna offer the complimentary buffet...?

Some food is extra cost, but what was free before is still free now.

That was my understanding.  Soda package worked last time we were there.

Drink package was able to be used before the changes.

That reminds me, did I see a picture of a funnel cake on CC posted once? I want to say it was free but that can't last.

I'm not seeing any coverage of the wave pool?  Did that open as well? 

 

We reserved a Thrill Waterpark cabana for our cruise in July, thinking that would be our preferred spot.  If it is not/will not open, may rethink that.  Also, I'm reading that chairs with umbrellas/shade are easy to find - since our sailing on Adventure will only have 3,000ish guests, maybe we don't even need the cabana (have very fair skinned people who need shade!).

I just got back from a fantastic weekend and the opening of A perfect Day at coco cay! I could not believe the change as I have been going to Coco Cay since they first opened it. The food seems greatly improved and there was not a charge. They did have some bars that might have had food where you mention the chicken wings but we didn't go into them. It is such a fabulous day and we spent most of the time in the huge swim up bar with a loud party atmosphere and music. It felt like a south beach pool party. You can use your drink package on the island. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas to use.

Waiting to see some pix from the Thrill Waterpark area as well...we also have booked a cabana there later in the year - having that location right next to the wave pool looks great!

 

But it's supposed to be open now...so someone will likely post something soon.

Orville99, you just answered the question. Oasis ships dont tender(too many people) so if you are still scheduled to be there next Monday, the dock is fully operational.
