Online check-in, is it like with the airlines that you want to check in at 12:01am so you can get the best/earliest boarding time?

I know you can right after midnight. If you are not priority you may not get the earliest time

12:01am might work. for my june cruise, it wasn't until like 12:05am when the check in became available . guess the server was taking a snooze

Ah I’m glad I read this as I didn’t know it was fcfs on time for check in. If you have fttf do you need to check in early? I’m usually snoring at midnight lol

No, if you have fttf you don't need to check in early and if you do,you can choose a later arrival time and then ignore that and arrive when you want since you get priority boarding.

Don't forget that it's midnight Eastern time, which means it's earlier if you live in the midwest or west.

The Check-in Time is not Boarding Time. It is the time you will be allowed to enter the terminal for Check-in. You may or may not have to wait before boarding.

There are sections regarding your id and the funding method you'll use.  However, you can skip everything but the check-in time, save, and go back in later to complete the other information required.
