Scott6444 Posted May 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2019 Can anyone who has done a b2b with carnival, explain the morning between both cruises! For example if you get off, when, how long, and where you can go if allowed still on board? ty

If you have the same room for both legs, all you need is your passport/id and sail and sign card for customs. After everyone else has debarked, the group of back 2 back cruisers will be escorted off the ship by guest services, go through customs, and then take you right back onto the ship. They will give you a free drink in the atrium, snap a few group photos and then you are free to do what you want

coevan Posted May 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2019 10-11am is really weird it's all crew and B2B guests and all the bars and restaurants are closed. We hung out in the Serenity Area. Our favorite bartender found us to get our new S&S cards and the first drink served.
naxer Posted May 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2019 I've done two B2Bs, and both times they gave me a copy of the group pic for free. That was kind of fun.
Rare Essiesmom Posted May 14, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2019 It's immigration, not customs you have to clear. If there is a large enough group, an officer will come onboard ahd do it in a lounge and you won't have to leave the ship. But if there is something you want to do in port, you can just leave with the departing passengers and do your thing. They will give you a transit pass to get back onboard without having to wait in line outside the terminal. But you wouldn't be able to reboard until they have zeroed down the ship from the previous cruise. You would think you would be able to sleep in, but there will be so much noise from those clearing out from the cabins around you, plus the breakfast hours will start earlier and close down by 0830, so if you aren't up to eat, you will go hungry until noon... I guess we do a good job of sleeping through the noise. Last cruise, like our other B2Bs, we were asleep until guest services called at 10am to get our new cards and go to immigration. On that cruise, we asked if we could just leave the ship and come back using our transit pass. So, we went out and walked around New Orleans and ate there. When we boarded, our keys weren't in the inbox, but our old cards still worked. When we went to muster, they couldn't scan us in, so we went to guest service and sat through muster there even though security made everyone else leave and go to their muster stations. When guest services opened after muster, they printed us new cards.

We walked through Riverwalk mall and grabbed some from Cafe du Monde, then continued over to Poydras Street and found a cafe when crossing over to Canal Street. We had crab cakes and eggs with biscuits and their jam.
