Jonesyj83 Posted May 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2019 Posted in carnival section, but thought maybe more aussies look here. First time cruise on a carnival cruise, have been on princess cruises and if we kept our luggage we could debark at anytime we felt. We are going on the cruise on Oct 21st, it says it get back to port at 6:30am and we have booked a flight back to Perth at 1030am. What is the earliest time we can debark from the cruise? Or do we need to follow the time given to us, Just worried we have booked the flight too early. Cheers Justin
By The Bay Posted May 17, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2019 I suggest you contact Carnival. As a reminder, Sea Princess was late into Sydney due to weather just this week. There is no guarantee that the ship will arrive according to the time advised. If your airline ticket allows you to transfer your flight due to missing your booking, no worries. Rare MicCanberra Posted May 17, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2019 As it twill be a domestic flight 1 hr to 45 mins prior will be fine.If all goes well you should be at the airport with plenty of time. Off the ship by 7am and at the airport by 7.30-7.45am, 3 hours early. Even an 8am debark would be fine. The issue comes if the ship is delayed coming in, then you may not get off until 9.30 or later.

Rare MicCanberra Posted May 17, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2019 Where is the ship coming from, if from NZ then they sometimes have delays, if from the South Pacific, not so much.

andlep Posted May 17, 2019 #8 Share Posted May 17, 2019 (edited) Can confirm what MicCanberra said. We were on the spirit in April and given a late debarkation time. I requested an earlier time from guest services and we were off the ship by 7 am. I also recommend FTTF for your trip as most ports are tendered.😀 Edited May 17, 2019 by andlep

Jonesyj83 Posted May 19, 2019 Author #11 Share Posted May 19, 2019 when can you normally purchase FTTF? 3 months before? or once cruise paid in full?

Hunter69 Posted May 20, 2019 #13 Share Posted May 20, 2019 Yes, The first passengers start getting of The Spirit about 6:50 - 7:00. You will get a form to fill-out & return to guest services on about the 3rd day. They will allocate you a dis-embarkment time. At least 90% of carnival passengers take there luggage off themselves. As Mic said. If you get off at 7:30; you should be at Airport by 8:15 if using Train. So 10:30 flight ok....
