Non-Smoker on the Sky

I am a non-smoker and was wondering do they enforce the no smoking on the balconies. I’ve been on many cruises and I know they have smoke detectors in the room. But do they have smoke detectors on the balconies? On my last cruise on another cruise line we were on the concierge level and apparently someone was smoking in their room and the cruise line was like a gestapo checking every room. It was really weird cause we didn’t smell smoke and we were non-smokers. I wondered if that some kind of new technology.

If you notice someone smoking on a balcony, report it.

There are no smoke detectors on open air balconies. 

 

Some smokers feel entitled and disregard smoking rules. 

 

Report and violations to keep your air clean.

I haven't run into smoking on balconies very often on NCL. I think most people report it if they smell it, so it keeps the smokers at bay. NCL does enforce it.

I never experienced it leaving from Miami, but apparently NCL New Yorkers believe they should be allowed to smoke on their balconies. Everyone was smoking around us. It was gross.
