Fisherwoman Posted May 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2019 On other cruises we've been on you are allowed to carry on one bottle of wine per person. We are booked on the Queen Elizabeth to Alaska out of Vancouver. Does Cunard allow us to bring on a bottle each? Thanks
exlondoner Posted May 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2019 More or less as much as you like, providing you are reasonably discreet. There are lots of threads about this.
AspirationalFlyer Posted May 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2019 Hello, You can definitely bring a bottle each and more in practice (we are planning on two each for next voyage in June). I agree there are plenty of other threads covering this, so worth reading those too when you have time.
Underwatr Posted May 20, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2019 A case is within reason. No one will interfere.
Rare Jack E Dawson Posted May 20, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2019 We typically bring 6 bottles of wine/champagne and there is no need to be discreet. Cunard knows exactly what is going on. Enjoy your voyage. Jack
Rare Se1lad Posted May 20, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 20, 2019 You can also take bottles of wine to the restaurant and pay a corkage charge. If you are drinking expensive wine it will work out cheaper than ordering off menu. I would take it to the restaurant at lunchtime though rather than walking in with it in the evening when the sommelier will be most busy. I'd not thought of in until just now - but if you are in QG and planning to dine in cabin you could probably bring the wine on board for that. There's an excellent wine store in NY I may go to before my next cruise! : )
