Age Restrictions on Royal Excursion Question

 Share

Recommended Posts

I am looking at some excursions for Grand Cayman in July.  We normally book excursions on our own, but we have a lot of OBC so we want to find one through Royal.  There is a Catamaran/StingRay City excursion that says the age limit to book is 5.  Our son is 3. I would not let me book online.  My question is...if we wait until we are on board, is there a chance they would let us book it anyway?  We do have a suite this time, I'm wondering if the concierge might be able to pull some strings for us?

They are strict on the age limits.  The concierge or booking on-board will not help.  Search for the same or similar  excursion privately.

No.

These age restrictions are generally tied to the liability insurance of the trip provider.

If they say 5 years old is the minimum, they are not going to allow a 3 year old.

You don't have to spend OBC.  For a 5% fee you can cash it out (indirectly) in the casino.

I just heard from a Ellen on the Mariner.  No 5% fee if you use your seapass card in a machine and charge money to your room.  Hit cashout right after.  This was with a credit card account.

Oh, I forgot to say that if you have a cash account, there's no 5% fee, and if you have that much OBC, it's easy to go with a cash account.  🙂

Interesting that Mariner has the capability of getting money directly from the machine.  Vision had it but Jewel did not.
