Hotel closest to Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale

What is the name of the hotel that you can see the cruise ships come in and out? Thank you!

Probably the two  hotels with the best views are the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina and the Pier 66, on either side of the A1A/17th St drawbridge. The Hilton is closer to the Port and a bit better located. They both have tower wings with excellent views of the cruise ship harbor (if you get the right room), though I understand that the Pier 66 may be under renovation. The view from the upper floor room we had at the Pier 66 was absolutely stunning

Pier 66 is closing in 3 weeks for a major reno:

 

"As part of a greater redevelopment plan, Pier Sixty-Six Hotel will be temporarily closing on June 10, 2019. The Pier Sixty-Six Marina, Pelican Landing Restaurant and Grille 66 & Bar will remain open, welcoming guests and boaters. The project is anticipated to last two years once construction begins."

 

Lago Mar isn't as close (it is on the beach so doesn't overlook the port) but has good views of the ships as they exit/enter Port Everglades into/from the ocean.
