New Deck 10 Cabins on Summit

I booked my upcoming Summit cruise as a guarantee and received cabin 1016 which is one of the new 2C cabins added to Deck 10.

These newly added cabins are located on far forward on the port side just in front of the Solarium and beside the Spa. The cabins are even numbered 1000-1024 and were added during the upgrade in the location previously taken by what I believe were previously the gents changing room, the hair salon and the acupuncture room.  They are also directly under the Sky Lounge in what appears to be the seating area.  Wonder how much one hears from above?

Has anyone been in these cabins and can you describe your experience?

Thanks in advance! :)

The new cabins near the front of deck 10 were originally classified as aqua class, but got downgraded to 2C due to problems.

Here is a link to a thread about them:

Varoo, thanks for the info. Very helpful, especially the informative links.

Guess it’s better to know beforehand....now wondering if Celebrity will allow me to change cabins if there’s a better one available within the 2C category. I’ll give them a call tomorrow.

Thanks again 🙂

  • 2 years later...

I just booked cabin 1060 on the Summit. Wondering if the cabin is really smaller than other balcony cabins so does anyone have any insight into this? Travel agent told me they were the same size as other balcony cabins.  I called celebrity and the guy I spoke to didn’t know anything about anything. Thanks in advance.
