hopeless holiday booker Posted May 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2019 There is a company in the UK with cruise as their name. They do escorted tours (some that they call bucket list) followed by a cruise. I can't seem to find reviews on what these trips are like just wondered if anyone on here has been on one and their thoughts - hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about! Rare Presto2 Posted May 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2019 (edited) Not sure but is it this one? We saw them at a cruise show we went to a month or so back https://www.cruisingexcursions.com Just reread your post and don't think it is Edited May 27, 2019 by Presto2
hopeless holiday booker Posted May 27, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Thank you but it isn't that. It's a company that does a land tour first followed by a cruise. I just can't find reviews.
downsmead Posted May 27, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2019 (edited) We have done one - X Alaska cruise first followed by a land tour including the Rocky Mountaineer. The elements handled by the ‘tour’ company did not go well. The cruise and train trip were very good since they were handled by the respective companies. This may not be the one you are thinking of though. Edited May 27, 2019 by downsmead
barbette165 Posted May 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2019 99% sure I've identified the company you're referring to. There are over 3600 reviews of the company on trustpilot, although most are for cruise or fly cruise holidays. In the first few pages I read through (before boredom set in), only one seemed to be for a land tour plus cruise. The ratings are very high - but there is a high percentage of reviews from first time contributors. I suspect that the land tour elements will just be resold by local providers. This reselling may extend to the detailed description of the tour - so if there's a tour you're interested in, try selecting a fairly distinctive bit of text and see if it produces a match for other providers of the same tour - and then look for their reviews. hopeless holiday booker Posted May 27, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Great idea - thank you. I generally like to book separately but hadn't thought of that!
