Chankanaab

We are planning to go to Chankanaab on our next trip to Cozumel and I have read different reports about the pool.

 

Some people have said that certain passes don't include use of the pool but I thought it was included in the general admission fee.

 

Recently I read in a review that the pool was operated by a third party and there was a minimum consumption charge in order to use the pool. Is there a restaurant/bar by  the pool and do you need to make a per person minimum charge there to use the pool? Trying to determine how it is monitored if we just want a short break there.

This does not match my experience, if you're in you get to use the pools, I didn't notice anyone checking anything although I had an all-inclusive excursion so perhaps they were just subtle about it
