afiaccone Posted May 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2019 About to book my excursions for December cruise. I see that I have to pay upfront. If I change my mind, can I cancel or switch excursions? I will be paying with Carnival Gift cards.
joepeka Posted May 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Yes you can cancel online right up to the day prior to sailing (for pre-purchased excursions). Your reimbursement will be in the same payment method you originally used. ETA: here's Carnival's shore excursions FAQ page: https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2866/kw/excursion cancellation Edited May 28, 2019 by joepeka
coevan Posted May 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Private excursions do not pay in advance, 10% down and have a 24 hour cancelation policy. Of course I am talking about a legitimate, well reviewed excursion company. We have never done a CCL excursion, and never were close to late for departure. 2wheelin Posted May 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2019 If you pay with gift cards and wait till on board to cancel, you will get OBC rather than a gift card in the mail. May make a difference if you decide close to sail date.
