Rebooking Question

Sorry, I've never had to rebook, we've always paid in full as we usually book last minute deals.

We are sailing the Bliss in October and had booked a mini-suite. We owe about $200 due this week.

I was poking around and saw if we drop down to a balcony we would save $500 and still get all of our perks.

The $300 that they would owe us back would they refund that back to us or have it go to ship credit or how does that work?

Also if there is a good reason to keep the mini-suite (I would keep it for the bathroom alone but my husband isn't on board for paying $500 for an extra sink) like better upgrade opportunities let me know!

Thank you!!

For October, is it past the Final Payment Date?

If so, you’re gonna have to pay a penalty.  If not, I believe you should be able to cancel and rebook no problem.  But contact your travel agent/NCL first just in case.

You wouldn’t “drop down” a level, you’d cancel your booking and then rebook on a new booking.

As long as you are not past final payment you can make changes with no penalty.

Your original booking will "technically" be canceled and a new one booked even though they may use the same reservation number. However the perks that you be be entitled to be be the ones being offered on the day you changed your booking.

Not sure about the onboard credit or refund as I still owed money when I changed my cabin category as you would like to do.

That would be a cancellation and a rebook. .You would get 100% of what you paid back to whatever CC you used, and then would have to pay for the whole cruise again (at least that is the way it usually works when moving down in category).
