CruiseMomTX Posted June 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2019 Were sailing on RCCL Liberty of the Seas in August and were wondering how the Drink package works going out of Galveston. Were used to sailing on Carnival out of Galveston and the alcoholic drink package doesn't start until the next day and same if you have free drinks in the casino. Does RCCL do the same or can you get the drinks from time of boarding or if your Prime when the casino opens?

Yes you can get drinks from once you are onboard, but until the ships gets 12 miles out to sea, the drink options are limited. Once the ships gets out that far, everything is available. George C Posted June 21, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2019 Only thing available until you are about 12 miles out is rather generic brands , normally not a issue since full bar will be open about six IF there are no delays. I know this is minor but really dislike it and last few cruises were from Florida instead of Texas.

It would seem to me that anyone who has a problem with waiting about 2 hours after sailing to get their favorite alcohol has much bigger problems than with Texas liquor laws!😱😏😳😎 3

We like good wine and drinks . Several other reasons I perfer to leave from other ports.

I've got an 8 x 10 glossy with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back as to what you consider "good wine."🤓
George C Posted June 22, 2019 #11 Share Posted June 22, 2019 All the wine we drink is at least a few dollars above the drink package level, normally bing on board stags leap or Silverado Cabernet, what do you drink?
