MarkBearSF Posted June 19, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) There were a couple of recent posts mentioning that the Internet connectivity was about to get a big speed bump on a turnaround a week or two ago. Can anyone confirm that it has happened (or not)? Edited June 19, 2019 by MarkBearSF
Underwatr Posted June 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) Yes. Further, the available computer classes now include one on the onboard use of Skype for low-cost voice and video calls. Edited June 19, 2019 by Underwatr

naturelovergirl Posted June 19, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2019 Anyone know if this improvement has been implemented on the other ships as well?
tv24 Posted June 20, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2019 (edited) Not on the Queen Victoria. Slow as molasses this past spring. We were often found standing in the hallway just trying to log in or log out, hoping that the router in the hallway would help. No dice. But, I am encourage with the positive reports for the QM2 as we board in September. I remain cautiously optimistic, but fully ready to have my dreams dashed. AnnieC Posted June 20, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2019 It seemed quicker than in the past on QV a couple of weeks ago, but we now go online first thing in the morning and late-ish in the evening, when fewer fellow passengers are using the bandwidth.
