One devise wifi vs. Elite free minutes?

We are going to just use our Elite minutes to check emails on our soon to be Alaska cruise(7 days). Not sure if we have data access in Alaska cities.  If so, we are in great shape.  We had the unlimited package last January and it was a 12 day cruise in the Southern Caribbean, thus needed more than just the Elite minutes.  Hope to get to Elite Plus and double the minutes next year. 🙂

I will say, the unlimited package was costly for us as we did not change our behavior by surfing internet, answering all emails.  We got on, saw if there was an emergency and got off, but if you need the the internet access to be able to sail, for sure it is a great option.

Not sure who your carrier is, but with any main carrier you should have data access in Alaska.  I will say, however, that last year in May on our B2B on Millie when we were in port the coverage was not always great, especially if we tried to log on while onboard the ship (even on our balcony).  It was a very rainy trip, so perhaps all the clouds had something to do with it.  We were, however, always able to get data coverage if we worked at it enough - sometimes it was much better on land.
