First time with NCL

Hello,

 

Me and my wife will travel on the Escape early August and we are wondering what are the dress code on the Escape specially at night. 

 

I heard it is a casual cruise but is it really the case ? I travelled with Celebrity and RC in the past . So is it really possible to wear ex : shorts and a golf shirt all week ?

 

I never experienced such a relax atmosphere  but if it is the case...I'll follow the trend !😀

I don't know the names of the exact restaurants on the Escape but for dinner one of the MDRs will want longs and so will one or two of the Specialty Rs..

Le bistro and the mdr called the manhattan room require long pants, that's it.

my husband loves ncl, he has nice shorts and various collared shirts he wears each evening.

he used to hate being in a suit and tie all uncomfortable and eating, enjoy your cruise

For men, Bermuda dress shorts and a nice polo shirt in the evening and you can't go wrong. In the specialty restaurants I saw men in khakis and polo shirts; may have even seen them in dress shorts in the MDR.   In every other casual venue (such as the lobby, the casino, O'Sheehan's etc.) I saw people dressed from super casual to elegant evening attire (but those in evening wear were in the minority). NCL Escape is a great ship. DO check out Food Republic! One of my all time favorite food venues, only wish they'd been open for more extended hours.  FYI we cruised on Escape back in 2017.

Shorts are allowed in all restaurants for all meals except Le Bistro and Bayamo specialty restaurants where gents are asked to have long pants (jeans or dockers are fine). Leave the tux or ties at home. 

 

Welcome me to free style dining. 

 

Like MTD on Royal, the MDRs are all eat when you are hungry or when it fits your schedule. Always a 2-top for you. Not fixed dining times.

Bayamo for sure.  I showed up in shorts, they made a comment but sat me anyways, however, proclaiming it was ok since we were eating on the Waterfront.
