graceinga Posted July 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2019 Does anyone know if it includes replacing the carpet , furniture or bedding in the cabins? Thanks!
bonvoyagie Posted July 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2019 We have been on both the Pearl and Dawn shortly after refirbs On the Pearl they were still changing out furniture and bedding during our cruise - the dry dock before our cruise was a short one. The Dawn had just finished the several month revamp where they changed out just about everything on the ship in both cabins and public areas. As far as carpets they will be repaired as needed until the whole ship needs re-done. They have huge storerooms with extra carpet and are always replacing damaged areas. bob brown Posted July 21, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2019 It all depends...some drydockings are just a light makeover, while other's can be a radical reworking of the ship. In some, they can add entire new cabins, in other's they just change 'soft goods' like curtains, etc.

It all depends. Sometimes nothing is done to the cabins, other times they might get carpet, once every 8 - 10 years they might get new furniture. Mattresses are changed out on an as needed basis, and not necessarily in dry dock, those are often changed during sailings. Just because the ship goes into dry dock does not mean that anything is going to happen to the cabins.
