Hotel nearest Pier 66

We have cruised out of Seattle, but stayed out near the airport.  This time we want it to be as easy a walk as possible from pre-cruise hotel to the terminal building entrance.  

We are looking at the Edgewater vs Marriott Waterfront.  Is one an easier trek for any reason than the other, or is there anything else that stands out to make one preferable (in your opinion)?

We just stayed at the Marriott which is across the street from Pier 66. Edgewater is next to Pier 66. Both are expensive, $350-400+ per night. We liked the more modern style of the Marriott.

You might want to ask on the West Coast Departures board where this is discussed regularly. Seeing that Seattle is not in Alaska.

Edgewater!   Get a room with a view of Puget Sound.

Now that I've read lots of reviews of the two, I believe we will do as Diver suggests and try the Edgewater.  Looks like a quirky place, slightly on the rustic side, with fantastic views.  Very unique.  Puget Sound view would be a great way to start our vacay.

It looks like it should be easy to walk our luggage to the pier (barring a rain storm).

Seattle is running a free shuttle bus downtown that stops at pier 66. We took it to see many places.  It was convenient, ran often, and had delightful drivers who chatted with riders.
