Your stateroom door will have an automatic closing system. Letting the door close automatically without slowing it down by hand will cause a large bang. Be aware your fellow shipmates in surrounding staterooms, please and thank you. 🙂

And if you open the hallway door while the balcony door is open, you'll create a huge wind tunnel effect.

I agree and hope people listen.  Not everyone wants to be woken up all night long by slamming doors.  A little courtesy goes a long way!

Be sure to step out the door fast so it doesn't slam on your foot.

And make sure your fingers are NOT anywhere in the door jam -- especially in the hinge area.

Yes, be careful, those doors are heavy and when the balcony door is open, they really slam close. I always close the balcony door if I am expecting Room service, so they won't have a hard time getting in.
