Mediterranean Cruise/Italy

Best seems to come up every thread, what is best?

Everytime we chose something like Europe that it is "destination" its about the ports, distance and how much time we have and is a day enough to see what we like.

After that is schedule, does the lines / ships sail during times that work for us, then lastly we look at price/cabin and shipline amenities.

Others are fascinated and prioritize price ( can always compromise by downgrading a cabin ),   Fun/party, freestyle, elegance, entertainment, ship amenities etc.  IMHO those all are of little importance as it all starts with did you have great day in the ports, were the ports your dream locations.

That all being said I don't think there isn't a line that doesn't hit ports that enable Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples, so then it comes down to schedule, availability/time and then amenities, what are important to you?

Or maybe you want the the big 4 plus a few bonus ports, or maybe want them to start and end in one to give you a few extra days, this will be what determines a best cruiseline.

Very unlike warm weather beach focused, where any beach is almost like any other IMHO, and the ship experience becomes much more important.
