cruisinmeme Posted August 19, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2019 I am just curious who the heck was with her or pushing her wheel chair. Surely nobody like that is alone. She was so lucky two hero’s was there to save her.
PelicanBill Posted August 19, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2019 I notice pier safety issues a lot on my cruises. Some piers are - not wide enough for the population of two large ships at the same time - tour groups being gathered and standing there taking up more and more room so people must go around near the edges - no fencing or concrete curb to help keep people away from the edge When I go hiking I have a rule - no standing any closer to the edge than your height. If you fall, you won't go over.
SeaHunt Posted August 19, 2019 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2019 The video here shows one of the hero's after the rescue - he looks completely spent: https://www.wthr.com/article/good-samaritans-rush-rescue-woman-wheelchair-who-fell-cruise-ship-dock TG he was there to help her!
