bjtravelnews Posted August 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2019 Hello everyone. Cruising on NCL in September to Portland, Bar Harbor, Halifax and St. John New Brunswick. Which of these ports are best for getting a lobster lunch and what restaurants would you recommend. Saw some other threads on the topic but some of the info is a bit dated. Thanks everyone! chengkp75 Posted August 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2019 For Portland, I recommend Portland Lobster Co, Becky's Diner, or High Roller Lobster for lobster rolls. For whole bugs, Bull Feeney's, Boone's Fish House, Portland Lobster, and Porthole are my tops. Eventide is open for lunch, but is more of an oyster bar, and their lobster roll is pretty pricey. Pretty much can't go wrong with Maine lobster.
mets123 Posted August 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2019 I second Beckys. Typical Maine diner, not fancy looking but great food. It's a ten minute walk from the pier. And the chowder is great too.
Host Carolyn Posted August 21, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2019 In New Brunswick there's a place called Steamers I think it is right across from where you dock. Great seafood including lobster, been going there each of 3 cruises up that way. Like Gilberts Chowder House in Portland
