Emerald balcony discount

I have some questions about the Emerald balcony discount. Must it be booked directly with RC or can I use a TA? Does it come off of a discounted rate or the rack rate? I normally book interior but sometimes the monetary difference between interior and balcony is very small. That’s why I’m inquiring, because it’s conceivable with the C&A discount I would pay less for the balcony than for the interior.

Pretty much all of the OBC offers and instant savings are not combinable with the Emerald discount and are usually of a greater value so it’s actually cheaper to not use your Emerald discount.

As said it can be used with a TA and if the TA has group rates you can apply your full balcony discount to those.

Is there a 6 month window for the C&A balcony discount or can you book a “last minute” cruise?

You can book a last minute cruise and get the balcony discount, but you lose $25 if booked within 6 months of the sailing date.
